18-20 September 2026 @ Gambledown Farm | Hampshire, UK

A weekend retreat designed specifically for you. Not your children. Not your family. You.

A Weekend Retreat for Home Educating Mothers

You've spent years creating freedom for your children. You've poured everything into building a life that works for your family. But when was the last time you gave yourself the same trust, the same freedom, the same space to grow?

This is a weekend just for you. Not for your children. Not about curriculum or how to home educate. Just you, in a beautiful countryside setting, with other mothers who understand what it took to choose this path.

Two nights where someone else makes all the decisions. Where your meals are cooked, the space is held, and you can finally stop managing everyone else's needs. Where you can connect with women who get it, who understand the bravery, the doubt and the messy, beautiful reality of this life you've chosen.

The retreat is small enough that you'll feel seen from the moment you arrive and big enough that you'll make firm friends.  The whole weekend is thoughtfully designed so you can simply show up and let yourself be held. There is time alone when you need it, time together that energises, and the kind of late-night conversations that remind you who you are beyond "home ed mum."

You don't need to know anyone and you certainly don't need to have it all figured out. You just need to be willing to include yourself in the circle of care for once.

“Come for the weekend. Leave remembering who you are and why you're here.”

Connection with women who truly understand this path.

Not small talk about maths apps, but the kind of conversations where you can finally say what you're really feeling. Where you don't have to justify your choices or pretend you have it all together.

Space to breathe

To walk in beautiful countryside without anyone needing you. To sit by the campfire under the stars and just be. To wake up to a nourishing breakfast you didn't have to cook and realise how rare that feels.

Permission

To let go of the idea that other people have it more together than you do. To see that we're all messy, all strong, all figuring it out as we go. To feel accepted exactly as you are.

Time that's genuinely yours

Not squeezed between home ed and household tasks. Not guilty time stolen from your family. Proper, guilt-free, someone-else-is-in-charge time where you can focus on your own journey without apologising for it.

The kind of rest that actually restores you

Not just physically, but mentally. The kind where you leave feeling ready, not just for your family, but for yourself. Where you return home lifted up, with new friendships and a renewed sense of purpose as you head into the winter months.

The Gift You're Giving Yourself

The Details

The retreat runs from Friday 18th September (arriving for 6pm) through to Sunday 20th September 2026 (departing after lunch at 2pm).

We'll be at Gambledown Farm, a stunning 270-acre working farm in the Hampshire countryside. Think beautiful grounds by day and stars galore at night. The venue offers both high-end safari tents and boutique barn-style accommodation so there is something for everyone. It's just us there for the weekend, no one else and we have a modern, warm hall to gather together in.

With just 28 women, you'll know everyone's name by Saturday morning and leave with friendships that last.

All your meals are included with locally sourced, nourishing food prepared for you. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and endless tea and biscuits. Dietary requirements happily catered for.

Gambledown Farm is easily accessible by car (approximately 1 hour 40 minutes from London) or train (nearest station is Romsey, with connections to London and direct trains to the Southwest). Southampton airport is 25 minutes away if you're flying in.

“This isn't a luxury. This is essential maintenance for mothers who are holding so much."

A Note From Claire

Connection is at the heart of everything I do. I believe in bringing people together and creating space for mothers to remember who they are.

I've run retreats at this venue before and I know how to create spaces where women feel safe, seen, and able to let go. This is my third retreat and every detail from the room setup to the flow of the weekend is thoughtfully designed so you can simply show up and enjoy the weekend.

Spaces are limited to 28 mothers and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you're interested in joining us, email me at claire@clairegillespie.co.uk or call 07976 447130. I'm happy to answer any questions and help you make the decision that your future self will thank you for.

I'd love to have you there.

Best wishes,

Claire
