You’ve already done the brave part.
You took your children out of a system that wasn’t working and built a life that fits them better.
Now the dust has settled, and a quiet voice is asking, “What about me?”
You want to feel alive again, not by doing more but by remembering who you are underneath all the roles.
That is the work we do together.
Why this work exists

I know what it feels like to lose yourself in the doing.
For years I chased what looked right: success, approval, the next achievement. I worked in London organising exhibitions and later built my own creative business, helping children explore their creativity. From the outside it looked successful. Inside I was exhausted.
When my children needed something different, I listened. I closed my business and began home educating. It was terrifying but the world did not end. It opened.
From that moment onwards I learned that freedom means trusting yourself, even when no one else understands. That experience became the foundation for how I now coach. It is grounded, curious, and rooted in real life.
My turning point
“Your children’s courage came from yours first. The next step is letting it change you too.”
Every project I have created since, including The Cardboard Shed, community groups, and this coaching practice, has taught me that thriving does not come from having a perfect plan.
It comes from curiosity, courage, and the willingness to see what is possible.
Now I help other mothers find their own version of possible. Home education changed everything for our family. It gave my children space to grow and it gave me the courage to do the same.
I realised that if I wanted them to live fully, I had to show them what that looked like.
What I learnt

Who I Am
I'm Claire Gillespie, a life coach for home educating mothers who’ve spent years building freedom for their children and are now ready to create the same for themselves.
I am a mother of two teenage boys, both home educated, both wildly different. Our home is full of curiosity, chaos, and compassion.
I believe in autonomy, honesty, and learning through doing.
I believe mess is where discovery happens. Getting it right is overrated.
And I believe mothers deserve the same freedom, patience, and encouragement they give their children.
I often write about courage, curiosity, and what it means to thrive as a home-educating mother. If you’d like a window into my process and ideas, you’ll find them here.
“When you choose to grow, your whole family grows with you.”
What’s possible for you
When you begin including yourself in the circle of care, everything starts to shift.
You wake up with energy instead of guilt.
You find something that feels like yours. It might
be a project, a new purpose or a peace you can feel.
You make decisions from knowing rather than guessing.
And your children watch you grow, which gives them permission to do the same.
I am not here to fix you. You are not broken.
I create space for you to hear yourself again.
Together we explore what you want, why it matters, and how to bring it to life, one real, imperfect, powerful step at a time.
My Approach

Beliefs that guide my work
You chose differently once, you can do it again.
Thriving alongside your children is possible.
Mess is where discovery happens.
You do not have to wait until later to feel alive.
“Freedom isn’t about doing everything. It’s about doing what’s right for you.”
The Practicalities
Coaching sessions are 60 minutes and take place online via Zoom, so you can join from wherever you feel most at ease. Most clients start with a block of six sessions, meeting every week or two weeks, although we can adjust the rhythm to fit your life. There’s no long-term contract or pressure. It is space to explore, reflect, and grow at a pace that feels right for you. Every conversation is a step toward clarity, courage, and momentum.
If you’re curious about whether this is the right next step, book a free 20-minute call. It’s a gentle way to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and see what kind of support might help you move forward.
